Steering Column Jacket Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LHD) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RHD) (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the steering column tilt head (1). Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement (Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement) .
3. Check the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage Inspection (Steering Column) .
4. Transfer any parts as needed.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering column tilt head (1). Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement (Steering Column Tilt Head Replacement) .
2. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LHD) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RHD) (Service and Repair) .
