Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor electrical connector.
3. Clean away all dirt and debris from the TFT sensor.
4. Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission.
5. Remove the TFT sensor (3).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the TFT sensor (3) and tighten the sensor to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).
2. Connect the TFT sensor electrical connector.
3. Fill the transmission to the proper level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill.
4. Remove the drain pan.
5. Lower the vehicle.
