Differential Housing Support Bushing Replacement (Left)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Place a transmission jack stand under the rear differential assembly.
3. Remove the right front differential support bushing bolt.
4. Remove the left front rear differential support bushing bolt (1).
5. Remove the left differential support bushing bracket mounting bolts (1).
6. Remove the left front bushing and mounting bracket (2).
Note: If the insulator (1) is found to be damaged, DO NOT re-use. Replace with NEW.
7. Remove the insulator (1) from the support bracket (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the NEW insulator (1) on the mounting bracket (2).
2. Position the differential support bracket assembly (1) on the differential housing.
3. Hand start the mounting bolts (1) for the support bushing mounting bracket.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
4. Tighten the support bushing mounting brackets bolt.
Tighten the differential mounting bracket bolts to 29 Nm (21 lb ft).
5. Lift the rear differential into position.
6. Hand start the support bushing mounting (1) by hand.
7. Install the left and right front differential support bushing mounting bolt.
Tighten the differential mounting bolts to 175 Nm (129 lb ft).
8. Remove the transmission jack stand.
9. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
