Disassemble

1. Remove 15 bolts attaching clutch cover to transaxle case, then using a plastic mallet tap clutch cover from case.

2. Remove ring gear and differential assembly from case.

3. Place shifter shaft in the neutral position.

4. Bend back shifter shaft bolt lock tab and remove bolt, then remove shifter shaft and shift fork shaft from synchronizer forks.

5. Remove reverse shift fork by disengaging from guide pin and interlock bracket.

6. Remove reverse idler gear shaft lock bolt, then remove gear, shaft and spacer assembly.

7. Remove detent shift lever and inter lock assembly. Leave shift forks engaged with synchronizers.

8. Lift input and output shafts from case as an assembly. Note position of shift forks for use during reassembly, then remove shift forks.
