Mainshaft






Disassembly
1. Remove speedometer gear and pump gear from mainshaft.

2. Remove synchronizer hub snap ring, then the synchronizer hub.

3. Remove drive sprocket, then, using tools J-33826 and J-8092, remove the two caged roller bearings from sprocket.

4. Remove synchronizer keys and retaining rings from synchronizer hub.


Assembly
1. Install front drive sprocket bearing using tools J-33828 and J-8092 until tool bottoms out and bearing is flush with front surface.





2. Reverse tool on J-8092 and install rear bearing into sprocket until tool bottoms out and bearing is recessed in bore.

3. Install thrust washer, drive sprocket, blocker ring and synchronizer hub on mainshaft.

4. Install hub with a new snap ring on mainshaft.

5. Install pump gear and speedometer gear on mainshaft.
