Mainshaft Pilot Bearing

Fig. 16 Mainshaft Pilot Bearing Installation:

1. If bearing cannot be removed by hand, remove by using slide hammer tool No. J-2619-01 and J-29369-1 or equivalents. Similar internal type blind hole bearing puller may also be used.
2. Install new bearing using tools No. J-8092 and J-29174 or equivalents.
3. Remove tools and check position of bearing to ensure oil feed hole is clear and bearing is seated flush with edge of bearing bore, Fig. 16.
