Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove upper half of fan shroud.
2. On models equipped with cruise control, remove cruise control servo bracket.
3. Raise vehicle and drain crankcase.
4. Disconnect exhaust crossover pipe from exhaust manifold.
5. Remove torque converter cover, if equipped.
6. Remove starter motor attaching bolts and position starter motor aside.
7. Remove lefthand engine mount through bolt, then loosen righthand engine mount through bolt.
8. Raise engine and reinstall through bolt. Do not tighten through bolt.
9. Remove oil pan attaching bolts and remove oil pan.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Torque oil pan attaching bolts to 80 inch lbs. Torque engine mount attaching bolts to 50 ft. lbs.
