Intermediate Band Replace

Since the Turbo Hydra-Matic 250 transmission uses an intermediate band instead of a clutch (used in the Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 transmission) to control the operation of the planetary gear sets, it is necessary to adjust the intermediate band as follows.

1. Loosen adjusting screw locknut, located on case right side, 1/2 turn.

2. Torque adjusting screw to 30 inch pounds, then back off screw 3 turns.

3. Torque adjusting screw locknut to 15 foot pounds while holding adjusting screw in position.
