Steering Column Lock Back Drive Adjust

The Steering Column Back Drive is used on models equipped with console shift only.

1. Disconnect lower rod at transmission lever.

2. Move transmission lever to Park position.

3. Place transmission selector lever in Park position.

4. Attach lower rod to transmission lever and check for proper operation.

CAUTION: Any inaccuracies in the above adjustments may result premature failure of the transmission due to operation without controls in full detent. Such operation results in reduced oil pressure and in turn partial engagement of the affected clutches.
