Cleaning & Inspection

1. The following components should not be placed in carburetor cleaner:
a. Rubber components, electrical solenoids and sensors, plastic components, vacuum diaphragms and pump plunger.
b. Choke coil and cover assembly.
c. Fuel filter.
2. Thoroughly clean all metal components. Ensure all fuel passages and metering components are free of burrs and dirt. Do not pass drills or wires through jets and passages.
3. Inspect upper and lower casting surfaces for damage.
4. Thoroughly inspect all internal components for wear damage, binding, distortion and burrs.
