Window Regulator - Complete Replacement vs. Drive Tape

Window regulators returned for evaluation have shown that complete assemblies are being replaced when only the drive tape is damaged. Drive tapes, as well as other regulator components, are serviced as individual parts.

Replacement of complete window regulators is not required in most instances. Removal, installation and adjustment procedures pertaining to door window systems can be found in the Fisher Body Service Manuals, Section 5.
