Install the piston on the connecting rod, so that the combustion chamber on piston head is on the same side with the cylinder mark side (side with bearing stopper) of the connecting rod big end. The front of the piston should be on same side as the ``Isuzu'' mark on the connecting rod, Fig. 24. Pistons are available in oversizes of .010 and .030 in.
Check connecting rod side clearance with a feeler gauge. Clearance should be .003---.024 inch.
