Draining Bottom Pan

1. Raise vehicle, then remove drain plug and allow fluid to drain for at least 5 minutes.

2. If oil screen is to be serviced, remove oil pan bolts, oil pan and gasket.

3. Remove oil screen to valve body bolts, screen and gasket.

4. Thoroughly clean oil screen and oil pan with solvent.

5. Install oil screen using a new gasket and torque attaching bolts to 13-15 ft lbs., then install oil pan using a new gasket and torque attaching bolts to 7-10 ft lbs.

6. Add transmission fluid, then with engine idling and parking brake applied, move selector lever through each range and return selector lever to PARK.

7. Check fluid level and add fluid as required to bring level between the two dimples on the dipstick.
