Valve Body Replace

1. Drain transmission and remove oil pan and screen.

2. Remove screw and retainer securing detent cable to transmission, then disconnect detent cable.

3. Remove throttle lever and bracket assembly. Use caution not to bend the throttle lever link.

4. Remove manual detent roller and spring assembly.

5. Remove transfer plate reinforcement attaching bolts and the reinforcement.

6. Remove servo cover and gasket.

7. Remove valve body attaching bolts, then the valve body and transfer plate. The two check balls in the case may fall out when removing the valve body. Refer to Overhaul Section for location of check balls.

8. Remove transfer plate to valve body bolts, then the plate from valve body.

9. Reverse procedure to install.
