Spring shims for minor correction of low trim height are available from GMWDD. The shims can be used on 1977 through 1985 rear wheel drive vehicles as listed below:

1978 - 1981 - Malibu and Monte Carlo
1982 - 1985 - Monte carlo
1977 - 1984 - Caprice
1977 - 1985 - Impala

These shims are 1/8" thick, and no more than two (2) are to be used at each spring location. When used on a front spring, the vehicle's trim height at the wheel opening will be increased approximately two (2) times the thickness of the shim. When used on a rear spring, the trim height will be increased approximately the same amount as the thickness of the shims.
