Heater Core: Service and Repair

Fig. 9 Heater core assembly:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect heater hoses from core. When disconnecting heater hoses at core tube connection, take care not to use excessive force, or damage to core may result.
3. Remove 6 retaining clips, then the lower part of heater case.
4. Carefully pry open lower part of heater case and remove heater core, Fig. 9.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
