Fig. 6 Removing air pump centrifugal filter:
1. Remove air pump drive belt and pulley.
2. Carefully pry outer disc from filter fan, then remove remaining portion of filter with pliers, Fig. 6.
3. Position new filter onto pump, install pulley and pulley retaining bolts and draw filter down evenly by alternately torquing retaining bolts.
4. Install and adjust air pump drive belt. The new filter may squeal upon initial operation until sealing lip outer edge has worn in.
