Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1985-88 EXC. 1987-88 MODELS W/EFI

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Disconnect warm air hose, cool air hose, second air hose, vacuum hose and EGR modulator from air cleaner case.
4. Remove accelerator cable from carburetor.
5. Remove electric lead wires at carburetor and intake manifold.
6. Remove all hoses from carburetor and intake manifold.
7. Remove intake manifold from cylinder head.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
