Blower Motor Switch: Service and Repair

ASTRO & SAFARI

MAIN BLOWER

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove screws securing center instrument cluster bezel and the bezel.
3. Remove screws securing heater-A/C control, then pull control assembly away from instrument panel.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from blower switch, then remove switch from control assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install.

AUXILIARY HEATER-A/C SWITCHES

Auxiliary switches are mounted in the instrument panel to the right of the steering column, Fig. 9. To replace the switch, pry switch from instrument panel taking care not to damage bezel or panel pad, disconnect electrical connector and vacuum hoses, and remove switch.
