Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Typical DIS Crankshaft Sensor:

REMOVAL
- Disconnect Sensor harness connector.
- Remove sensor to block bolt.
- Remove sensor from engine.
- Remove sensor O-ring and discard.

INSTALLATION
- Install new O-ring on sensor, lube new O-ring with engine oil before installing.
- Install sensor into hole in block.
- Install sensor to block bolt.
- Torque to 8 Nm (71 lb in).
- Reconnect sensor harness connector.
