Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove hush panel from under left side of instrument panel.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors from switch and pull switch out of retaining clip on brake pedal support.
3. Depress brake pedal and push replacement switch into retainer until switch shoulder is bottomed against bracket.
4. Adjust switch by pulling brake pedal back against stop.
5. Ensure switch has continuity when pedal is depressed .53 inch from normal rest position, and pedal fully returns to rest position.
6. Reconnect electrical connectors and install hush panel.
