Barometric Pressure Switch: Description and Operation
The
altitude switch provides a voltage to the ECM to allow ambient pressure compensation of the controlled functions. The altitude switch directly controls the air/fuel solenoid which then changes the air/fuel range of the carburetor during high altitude conditions.
