Parts, Service Procedure, Campaign Label & Claim Information

PARTS INFORMATION

One (1) part required to complete this campaign is to be obtained from General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO). To ensure this part will be obtained as soon as possible, it should be ordered from GMSPO on a "C.I.O." order with no special instruction code, but on an advise code (2).

* P/N 3816659 is packaged ten (10) to a package. Only one (1) tie-wrap will, however, be required for each repair.

Note: In order to complete this campaign a jumper wire harness (P/N 12072777) will also be required. Jumper wire harnesses have been shipped directly to involved dealers on a no charge basis. Do not order this part from General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO).

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect engine harness TCC connector from transmission (See Figure 1).

2. Plug jumper harness (P/N 12072777) into transmission and engine TCC connectors.

3. Tie-wrap engine and transmission TCC connectors back to body of harness.

4. Install Campaign Identification Label.



CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL

Each vehicle corrected in accordance with the instructions outlined in this bulletin will require a "Campaign Identification Label". Each label provides a space to include the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or a ball point pen.
Each "Campaign Identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for periodic servicing by the owner.

Apply "Campaign Identification Label" only on a clean dry surface.



CLAIM INFORMATION

Submit a Product Campaign Claim with the information indicated below:
* Campaign Administrative Allowance

** The "Parts Allowance" should be the sum total of the current GMSPO Dealer Net price plus 30% of all parts required for the repair.

*** The $1.80 identified in the "Net Amount" Column represents 30% of dealer net for the jumper wire harness furnished at no charge by Chevrolet.

Dealers will automatically receive the correct labor and material allowance based on the labor operation performed.
