Column Shift

Description:

1. Position transmission lever B clockwise to forward detent, then turn ignition switch to "LOCK."

2. Remove column lash by rotating lever J downward and tightening bolt C.

3. Turn ignition switch to "UNLOCK", then position transmission levers in Neutral To position levers in Neutral, move levers B and E to forward detent, then turn counterclockwise one detent.

4. Align gage pin holes in levers H, J and K, then insert gage pin.

5. Repeat Step 2 for rod F and levers E and H.

6. Remove gage pin.

7. Place column lever in Reverse and check interlock control. Ignition should lock only when in Reverse.
