Control Assembly: Service and Repair

LESS A/C

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel face plate.
3. Remove 4 screws securing control assembly, then withdraw control.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors and control cables, then remove control assembly, remove blower switch if nessary.
5. Reverse procedure to install.




WITH A/C

CAVALIER, CIMARRON, FIRENZA, SKYHAWK & SUNBIRD

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering column cover and right trim cover.
3. Remove three control assembly retaining screws, Fig. 5.
4. Draw control assembly sufficiently from dash to permit control cables, harness leads, and vacuum lines to be disconnected. Note location of all connections for reinstallation.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
