Troubleshooting Hints

^ Try the following checks before using the Symptom Table.

1. Check Tail Fuse (Cavalier, VIN JC) or Fuse 11 (RS, VIN JE and Z24, VIN JF) by visual inspection.

2. Check that ground G200 is clean and tight.

3. If a group of Instrument Panel Lights do not come on, check the wires to the suspect lights (see schematic). Electrical Diagrams

4. If a single Instrument Panel Light does not come on, check the bulb, socket, and related wires.

5. If Instrument Panel Lights do not turn off, replace the Light Switch.
