Section III
Tech I or "Scan" Tool ParametersThis section contains the Tech I parameters and the working values that should be expected when the system is functioning properly. If these values are not within specification, and section II has been used, the Service Manual should be consulted for diagnosis. The vehicle should not be given back to the customer without the complaint verified and repaired. Remember, all internal combustion engines need the proper amount of FUEL, AIR, COMPRESSION, AND SPARK.
TECH I or "Scan" Tool Expected Values
Special attention should be given to the underlined parameters. If these values cannot be met at idle, engine at normal operating temperature, A/C off, and transaxle in Park or Neutral, diagnosis for a failed component should be conducted.
