Cranking Signal: Testing and Inspection

1. With ignition switch ``Off,'' remove left connector from ECM.
2. Insert positive tester probe into black/yellow lead wire terminal from cord side of disconnected left connector and negative tester probe connected to body ground, check that 12 volts is applied while starter is running.
3. If battery voltage is not present, check starter motor switch and starter circuit.
4. Turn ignition switch ``Off,'' the reconnect ECM connector.
