Carburetor Calibration and Precautions
Before making any carburetor calibration changes the DIAGNOSTIC CIRCUIT CHECK and SYSTEM PERFORMANCE CHECK must be done first. Do not make any changes until all possible causes listed in the SYSTEM PERFORMANCE CHECK have been checked. The float level should also be checked.
If the M/C dwell is incorrect at 3000 RPM see MIXTURE CONTROL SOLENOID ADJUSTMENT.
If the M/C dwell is incorrect at idle see IDLE MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT.
Be sure to block the vehicle drive wheels for any procedure that calls for testing with the transmission in drive.
