Piston Measurements and Replacement

Pistons and ring are available in standard sizes and oversizes of .010. Piston pins are supplied with the piston and are available in standard size only.
To check piston fit in bore, measure bore diameter using suitable telescoping gauges and record reading. Measure piston across skirt at a point 3/4 inch below piston pin center line and record reading. Subtract piston diameter from bore diameter and compare to specified clearance.
