Installation

1. Dip new seal O-ring in clean refrigerant oil, assemble O-ring on installer J-33011, then insert installer into compressor neck until it bottoms.
2. Lower moveable slide on installer to release O-ring into lower groove in compressor neck, rotate installer to seat O-ring, then remove installer.
3. Attach new seal to replacement tool J-23128-A, dip seal in clean refrigerant oil and insert protector J-34614 into seal.
4. Install seal and installation tools in compressor and push seal into position with rotary motion.
5. Remove seal protector and installer, install new seal retaining ring with flat side toward seal, then press ring into place until it snaps into groove.
6. Wipe away excess oil, then reinstall clutch plate and hub assembly.
7. Reinstall compressor and adjust drive belt to specifications.
8. Ensure that system is properly charged with refrigerant oil. Evacuate and discharge system, then check for leaks.
