Wiper Arm

Remove or Disconnect

The wiper arm is retained on the serrated transmission shaft by a metal clip. To remove the wiper arm and blade assembly, lift upward. Use Tool J 8966 or equivalent to reduce the possibility of paint finish damage during removal operation.

Install or Connect

To install the wiper arm and blade assembly, with the wiper motor in the park position, install the wiper arm on the serrated transmission shaft in a position where the wiper blade will reset in the proper parked position. The same tool used for arm removal may be used to install the arm.
