Heater Core: Service and Repair



HEATER CORE

Heater Core Case:






Remove or Disconnect
1. Battery negative cable.
2. Drain cooling System.
3. Instrument panel upper pad. Service and Repair
4. Instrument panel brace.
5. Instrument panel outlet duct.
6. Fuse panel bezel.
7. Right-side hush panel.
8. Floor heat deflector.
9. Instrument panel lower right-hand pad. Service and Repair
10. Electronic Control Module (ECM).
11. Side window defroster duct.
12. Tubular brace.
^ Loosen the upper bolts, remove the bottom bolts and rotate the tubular brace rearward.
13. Heater control cable.
14. Heater hoses from heater core.
15. Heater core case screws and separate case.
16. Heater core retainers.
17. Heater core from vehicle.


Install or Connect
1. Heater core.
2. Heater core retainers.
3. Heater core case.

NOTE: Be sure to position air mix door rod through the heater core prior to assembly.

4. Heater hoses onto heater core.

NOTE: Check for sealer or other debris prior to hose installation.

5. Heater control cable.
6. Adjust Air mix door rod. Programmer
7. Tubular brace.
8. Side window defroster duct.
9. Electronic Control Module (ECM).
10. Instrument panel lower right-hand pad.
11. Floor heat deflector.
12. Right-side hush panel.
13. Fuse panel bezel.
14. Instrument panel outlet duct.
15. Instrument panel bracer.
16. Instrument panel upper pad.
17. Refill cooling system.
18. Negative battery cable.
