1. Inboard belt anchor bolts and washers from front seat belt mounting bars (20).
2. Inboard belts (21).
Inspect
^ Pedestal rear, inboard bolt head (18) positions of front seats. Bolt heads will be visible as bumps in carpet. (See Figure for location.) View underside of chassis to verify the proper bolts.
^ Measure a distance 6 inches rearward from the center of the pedestal rear, inboard bolt heads (18) each.
^ Then measure 2 inches inboard from each of those points for new bolt positions and mark the locations (23) on center.
CAUTION! Verify location of the new bolt positions to avoid hitting components mounted under the chassis when drilling.
3. Using a 1/2 inch drill bit, drill holes (23) through the van interior carpet and floor for new bolt locations.
Install or Connect
1. Existing inboard belts (21) to bolt hole attaching points (23).
Inspect
^ Belt anchor plates (22) are attached in same direction as before.
2. Kit bolts (7/16 inch x 14 x 3 [18]) and washers (7/16 inch [17]) to inboard belts, securing them to the floor before tightening.
3. Kit reinforcement plates (15) to underside of vehicle, sideways. (See Figure for direction of mounting. Right and left reinforcement plates have opposite orientation when positioned correctly.)
4 . Kit washers (7/16 inch [14]) and nuts (7/16 inch x 14 [13]) to bolts (17) at underside of vehicle.
Tighten
