Headlamp Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT REPAIR PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL procedure.
2. Remove turn signal switch as outlined under INSTRUMENT PANELS AND CLUSTERS/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT REPAIR PROCEDURES/TURN SIGNAL SWITCH procedure.
3. Remove windshield wiper switch as outlined under AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT/WINDSHIELD WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS/WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH procedure.
4. Remove ignition switch to ignition switch housing attaching screws.
5. Depress ignition switch locking tab, then disconnect switch electrical connectors.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure lock cylinder shaft aligns with slotted opening on ignition switch.
b. Torque ignition switch attaching screws to 21 inch lbs.
