Installation

Caliper Assembly:






1. Lubricate new sleeves, rubber bushings, bushing grooves and mounting bolt ends with Delco Silicone Lube or equivalent.
2. Install new bushings.

Installing Inner Pad:






3. Install inner pad by snapping the retainer spring, (staked to the inner pad), into the piston.

CAUTION: The back of the pad must lay flat against the piston.

Installing Outer Pad:






4. Install outer pad with the lining wear indicator at the leading edge of the pad during forward wheel rotation.

CAUTION: The back of the pad must lay flat against the piston.


5. Install caliper. See Brake Caliper / Service and Repair. Service and Repair

CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted or kinked since damage to the hose could result.

6. Install tire and wheel assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.

WARNING: Before moving vehicle, pump brake pedal several times to be sure it is firm. Do not move vehicle until a firm pedal is obtained.
