REAR SIDE DOOR WINDOW OUTER BELT SEAL CURLS UP AT THE ENDS (REPLACE OUTER BELT SEAL)

THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CHANGE THE SERVICE PROCEDURE, PART NUMBER, AND LABOR OP. PLEASE DISCARD BULLETIN # 361010.
CONDITION:
Some owners may comment that their rear side window outer belt seal curls up at the ends.
CAUSE:
The rear side window outer belt seal does not fasten securely to the sheet metal flange due to the lack of a locking mechanism on the seal.
CORRECTION:
Replace the existing belt seal with a new part (P/N 15991899).
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1. Roll the window down.
2. Remove the rear side window outer belt seal.
3. Install the redesigned outer belt seal (P/N 15991899).
4. Secure the seal on the flange using a rubber mallet. Be sure that the tabs are locked in the holes on the belt seal flange.
