Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Raise vehicle.
2. Support converter.

NOTE: Cuts must be made as close to weld as possible to ensure adequate overlap for clamping.

3. Cut front exhaust pipe at converter.
4. Cut intermediate exhaust pipe at converter.
5. Remove converter.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install clamps to replacement converter. (DO NOT tighten clamp nuts yet.)
2. Install converter.
3. Tighten clamp nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft lb).
4. Lower vehicle.
