Front Wiper and Washer Systems
DESCRIPTIONThe wiper system consists of a permanent magnet, positive park type motor mounted on the engine side of the cowl. The motor drives a crank arm, attached to individual transmission links for the left and right sides. The transmissions, mounted in front of the windshield fresh air plenum, transfer rotary motion from the motor into reciprocating motion at the wiper driveshaft.
The wiper motor is a permanently sealed unit with no provisions for adjustment or repair. Attached directly to the wiper motor is a delay module which is also sealed and is only serviceable by replacing the unit.
