Water Pump Install

Coolant Pump:




Fan And Fan Clutch:





Install or Connect

^ Clean gasket sealing surfaces on the coolant pump and the block. Inspect all components for defects.

1. Install new gaskets (94).

2. Install coolant pump (91) to the engine block.

3. Install coolant pump bolts (92).
Tighten bolts (92) to: 40 n.m (30 ft. lbs.).

4. Install lower radiator hose and heater hose to the coolant pump (91).

5. Install bypass hose.

6. Reinstall Coolant pump pulley, fan, and fan clutch to the coolant pump hub.
Tighten stud (71) to: 8n.m (71 in. lbs.).
Tighten fan bolts (72) to: 24n.m (18 ft. lbs.).
Tighten fan clutch nuts (75) to: 24n.m (18 ft. lbs.)

7. Install Belt. Refer to Drive Belt. Drive Belt

8. Add coolant to the radiator.

^ Start the engine and run with the radiator cap removed until the radiator upper hose becomes hot (thermostat is open).

^ With the engine idling, add coolant to the radiator until the level reaches the bottom of the filler neck.

9. Install Radiator cap, making sure the arrows line up with the overflow tube.

10. Reinstall Air cleaner air duct.

11. Reinstall Negative battery cable.

^ Check the system for leaks.
