1991-95 Oldsmobile Bravada with 4WAL System (Kelsey-Hayes EBC-4(R))
This bulletin is being revised to add the 1995 model year and to announce the cancellation of the part restriction program on the Kelsey Hayes EBC-4(R) 4WAL brake system. Previous divisional publication numbers were:
Chevrolet 93-226-5
GMC Truck 93-5E-86
Oldsmobile 93-T-67
Effective November 1, 1994 the part restriction program is canceled on the Kelsey Hayes EBC-4(R) 4WAL brake system. It will no longer be necessary to contact the Kelsey Hayes Technical Assistance Center (K-TAC) to obtain an EBC-4(R) brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) however, K-TAC will continue to be available for antilock brake system diagnostic and repair assistance.
The following models are equipped with the EBC-4(R) 4WAL brake system:
^ 1993-95 G Van
^ 1990-95 M/L Van
^ 1991-95 S/T Trucks
^ 1992-94 C/K Suburbans and Utilities
Notice:
All 1995 C/K models are equipped with the new Kelsey Hayes EBC-310(R) 4WAL brake system. The part restriction program as described in service bulletin 46-50-07 remains in effect on these models.
If careful diagnosis indicates that a replacement EBC-4(R) brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) is required, orders can be processed directly through GMSPO. A core charge of $250 will be in effect.
Core return procedures will be included in each shipment. To receive core credit the BPMV core return procedures must be followed.

Prior to calling K-TAC for diagnostic and repair assistance, please complete the diagnostic sheet.
Note:
K-TAC DOES NOT have warranty approval authority. If there is a concern for repairs, it is recommended that you contact your divisional representative for approval PRIOR to making repairs.
K-TAC phones will be manned from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. The remainder of the time an automated answering machine will take the information for a callback.
