Clutch Switch: Description and Operation
Clutch Switch Wiring Circuit:
Purpose:
The ECM utilizes a Clutch Anticipate Switch to monitor clutch pedal status.
Operation:
The clutch switch is normally closed when the clutch pedal is at rest. When the clutch pedal is depressed, the switch will change from "OFF" to "ON". The ECM runs a diagnostic check that looks for a change of state in the switch logic.
Location:
The clutch switch is mounted to the clutch pedal assembly.
