Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

Electric Air Pump Service:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable
2. Electrical connectors from air pump
3. Outlet hose
4. Two electric air pump mounting bolts from front member
5. Loosen inlet silencer clamp
6. Electric air pump
7. Three electric air pump mounting bolts

Install or Connect

1. Electric air pump mounting bracket to electric air pump assembly
2. Three mounting bolts
Torque Value: 5.6 Nm (50 lb in)
3. Electric air pump inlet silencer
Torque Value: .239 Nm (2 lb in)
4. Two air pump mounting bolts to front member
Torque Value: 10 Nm (89 lb in)
5. Outlet hose
Torque Value: .239 Nm (2 lb in)
6. Electric connectors to air pump
7. Negative battery cable
8. Check AIR system for proper operation
