Arming Sensor

Fig. 310 Arming Sensor Removal:

1. Deactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG DEACTIVATION.
2. Remove radio control.
3. Disconnect arming sensor connector from clip on RH knee bolster inner bracket.
4. Remove SIR wiring harness to arming sensor CPA and disconnect arming sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove arming sensor retaining fasteners. Fig. 310.
6. Remove arming sensor.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install sensor with arrow pointing toward front of vehicle.
b. Torque mounting bolts to 11 ft. lbs.
c. Torque mounting nuts to 107 inch lbs.
d. Following installation, activate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
e. Turn ignition switch to the On position and verify the ``Inflatable Restraint'' indicator flashes 7 to 9 times then turns Off. If indicator does not respond, refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURES/TESTING PROCEDURES/RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES.
