Lower Intake Manifold

LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD






Install or Connect
1. Cut lower manifold gasket where it says "Cut Out". This will allow you to put the manifold gasket on with pushrods already installed.
2. Lower intake manifold gasket (141).
3. Apply sealant GM p/n 12345739 at both ends where the intake manifold mates the engine block.
Bead should be 2.0 - 3.0 mm wide and 3.0 - 5.0 mm thick.

4. Lower intake manifold (142).
5. Retaining bolts (144) and nuts (143).
Tighten Bolts (144) and nuts (143) in sequence (refer to image above).
- First, bolts (144) and nuts (143) in sequence, to 5 N.m (44 lb. in.).
- Then, bolts (144) and nuts (143) in sequence, to 20 N.m (15 lb. ft.).
- Finally, bolts (144) and nuts (143) in sequence, to 30 N.m (22 lb. ft.).
