Drive Belt: Service and Repair

SERPENTINE BELT ROUTING

REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Lift belt tensioner off belt using a socket and breaker bar.
3. Remove drive belt.

- Reverse procedure to install.
a. Check belt adjustment as follows:
b. Start and operate engine for 5 minutes.
c. Operate engine for 30 seconds, then recheck belt tension.
d. If tension is not within limits, check belt and tensioner and replace as necessary.
