PKE BATTERY REPLACEMENT

MODELS:
1993-94 CHEVROLET CORVETTE

In 1993, the Corvette began using the Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) system. The battery used in the PKE transmitter is different than the battery in Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters. Reports have been received that replacement batteries may be difficult to locate.

The battery pad numbers are: *Sanyo CR2450 and *Duracell DL2450.

Some suggested sources of these batteries are:

Major Discount Stores in the Camera or Electronics departments; Electronics Parts Stores; Pet Supply Stores (this battery is used in dog collars).
