Troubleshooting Hints

Perform before beginning System Diagnosis
1. Check Fuse 6 by operating Cigar Lighter.
2. Check Release Switch for good connection.
3. If Brake Indicator does not light with the Park Brake set refer to Brake Warning, Refer to Brakes. Brakes and Traction Control

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check.(Refer to "Diagnostic Aids/General Troubleshooting Procedures,") Diagnostic Aids
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer to "Diagnostic Aids/General Troubleshooting Procedures,") Diagnostic Aids
