Section 6A5 - Revised Lower Intake Manifold Tightening Procedure

MODELS:
1994-95 Buick Century, Regal, Skylark
1994-95 Chevrolet Beretta, Corsica
1995 Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo
1993-95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
1994-95 Oldsmobile Achieva, Cutlass Ciera
1994-95 Pontiac Grand Am, Grand Prix
with 3100 Engine (VIN M - RPO L82)

The lower intake tightening procedure for 3100 Engines (VIN M - RPO L82) has been revised. Use the following procedure to properly torque the lower intake manifold.

Install or Connect

1. Intake manifold, refer to Service Manual procedure in Section 6A5.

Notice:
Failure to tighten vertical bolts before the diagonal bolts may cause an oil leak.

Tighten

^ Vertical bolts to 13 Nm (115 lb.in.)

^ Diagonal bolts to 13 Nm (115 lb.in.)

2. Complete reassembly, refer to Service Manual Section 6A5.
