Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor:

CAUTION: Care must be taken, when handling sensor. Damage to sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel control system.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain cooling system below level of sensor.
3. Electrical connector releasing locking tab.
4. Sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Sensor in engine.
2. Electrical connector.
3. Refill coolant system.
4. Negative battery cable.
